R&D Systems Scholarship
R&D Systems is proud to support education in science with a scholarship program established to students who are pursuing a degree in a science related field.
The R&D Systems Scholarship Program will be awarded to students pursuing a degree in a science related field. A $1500 (or international currency equivalent) scholarship will be awarded twice a year for one student in the fall semester and one student in the spring semester.
Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS)

From a disadvantaged background as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:
An individual from a disadvantaged background is defined as one who comes from an environment that has inhibited the individual from obtaining the knowledge, skill, and abilities required to enroll in and graduate from a health professions school, or from a program providing education or training in an allied health profession; or comes from a family with an annual income below a level based on low income thresholds according to family size published by the U.S. Bureau of Census, adjusted annually for changes in the Consumer Price Index, and adjusted by the Secretary, HHS, for use in health professions and nursing programs.
A citizen, national, or a lawful permanent resident of the United States or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico or the Marianas Islands, the Virgin Islands, Guam, the American Samoa, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated State of Micronesia.

Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program
The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program (WU Scholars) is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education.
Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program's three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community.
To be eligible, students must be seeking an undergraduate degree in one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business/entrepreneurship.
The application, which requires a letter of recommendation and an academic transcript, opens Wednesday March 8th. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 12 at noon Eastern Standard Time.

Chiropractic Education Scholarship Program
This scholarship is administered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
The purpose of the Chiropractic Education Scholarship Program is to assist residents of the state of Oklahoma who are pursuing the study of chiropractic at accredited out-of-state schools.
ELIGIBILITY
The student must be a resident of Oklahoma for at least five years prior to the date of application.
The student must be enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited chiropractic school.
Scholarship awardees under this program shall maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. The cumulative grade point average will be determined after the summer trimester for fall scholarship eligibility, and after the fall trimester for spring scholarship eligibility.
A student may participate in the program for no more than four years.
APPLICATION
The application deadline normally falls at the end of May each year. Late applications will not be considered. First-year applicants must include a statement from the institution that states he/she has been admitted to the college. Continuing students must submit a current transcript. State Regents staff will forward the applications to the Oklahoma State Board of Chiropractic Examiners for approval of scholarship candidates. The State Regents office will notify both recipients and chiropractic schools of nominations and awards.
AMOUNT OF AWARD
The available funds for the program are subject to annual legislative appropriation. Annual award amounts may vary, but cannot exceed $6,000 per student. Upon certification of eligibility, the scholarship shall be awarded in two disbursements at the beginning of the fall trimester and at the beginning of the spring trimester. The award will be sent to an official of the chiropractic school for distribution to the student.

AMRI Scholarship for Healthcare Students
American Medical Resource Institute (AMRI) is bringing back the annual scholarship program for students pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. This includes nurses, EMT’s, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. One applicant will be awarded $1,000 for completing a 2000-word essay covering one of two healthcare topics. A winner will be chosen on merit.

REQUIREMENTS
The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Recommended topics are included in the Personal Essay section.
All applications must be received by January 29th, 2018. Finalists will be notified in February and must provide proof of enrollment and GPA (letters of acceptance, transcripts, etc.) before the scholarship recipient is selected.
SELECTION
Applications will be reviewed by a panel. The winner will be selected based on the criteria set forth in the requirements section of this document.
Once the winner is decided and notified of the award, he/she will receive a mailed 1099-MISC tax form and the check will be delivered to their address. The winner of the scholarship award will be fully responsible for the taxes incurred from receiving the award.
