AACE International Competitive Scholarships
AACE International is dedicated to advancing the study of cost engineering, and cost management through the integrative process of total cost management. To promote this objective, AACE awards academic scholarships to full-time students pursuing a related degree in engineering, construction management, building construction, computer sciences, business, quantity surveying, information technology, etc. The cost engineering profession uses the process of total cost management to identify and define those areas of business in which the discipline of cost engineering and cost management principles may be applied to plan and control resources, assets, costs, profitability, and risk. The major elements of the cost engineering discipline include estimating, project/product controls, planning and scheduling, business sciences, and project/product management.Scholarship Descriptions:AACE International scholarships are available in amounts ranging from $2000 to $8000. Specific awards will be determined based on your overall scholarship and collegiate accomplishments.Eligibility:Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time students who are enrolled in a program related to cost engineering/cost management. These programs include: * Agricultural Engineering * Architectural Engineering * Building Construction * Business Administration * Chemical Engineering * Civil Engineering * Industrial Engineering * Manufacturing Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Mining Engineering * Electrical Engineering * Quantity SurveyingApplicants in their final undergraduate year must have been accepted to attend a full-time graduate program in the next academic year to qualify for a scholarship.
Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship
Scholarship applications are reviewed in April and awards are announced in May. Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
US Citizen.
A full-time undergraduate student at an accredited university (freshman, sophomore or junior student).
Pursuing a major in engineering, architecture, or environmental science.
Student of good character.
Applicants should complete the form on the reverse side and attach a narrative specifically addressing the following topics in the order listed:
Academic Performance
Academic/Professional Goals
Financial Need (ability to pay for college; other financial assistance to be received)
Extracurricular Activities
Summary of Previous Military Service, if any
Statement of why applicant should be considered for award
Include other comments to assist selection process.
Narrative should be type written, no more than two pages, and have no more than 8 lines per topic.
The applicant's school counselor, academic advisor, or administrator must endorse each application to verify enrollment. The scholarship will be awarded after college enrollment is confirmed in the school year awarded. The scholarship will be paid directly to the School Registrar.
MSU College of Arts and Architecture Scholarships
Montana State University's College of Arts and Architecture is offering a new scholarship for Native American students wishing to study art, architecture, film photography or music.
Offered by the Dean’s Office of the MSU College of Arts and Architecture, the $2,500 scholarship is available to incoming or transfer students who will be full-time students for the next school year. Students must declare a major offered by one of the four schools housed in the college. Those schools include the School of Art, School of Architecture, School of Film and Photography and the School of Music.
"This scholarship is an important step in our college’s commitment to expand opportunities for Native American students to pursue an education in the arts," said Nancy Cornwell, dean of the MSU College of Arts and Architecture.
Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average and be a Native American tribal member (or proof of descent) / Alaska Native tribal member (or proof of descent).
Applicants are asked to submit an essay of approximately 500 words that addresses why he or she is interested in pursuing a degree in the College of Arts and Architecture. A copy of a transcript with cumulative GPA must be included with the application.
