Aerospace Scholarships

Here are some of the Aerospace scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Aero Club of New England Scholarship

A one-time scholarship of $300 offered in honor of Mr. Jim Brown, Chairman of Hartzell Propeller, Inc. Presented by the Aero Club of New England; "In this day of increasing costs, scholarship funding for our future pilots is becoming even more important in providing opportunities to our youth.”

Eldon Beresford Scholarship

Provides from 50% to full tuition to attend an EAA Air Academy session. Established in memory of Eldon Beresford, a 38-year veteran pilot for United Airlines.Special considerations: resident of Illinois, Iowa or Wisconsin.

Harold and Leona Boyles Memorial Scholarship

Provides from 50% to full tuition to attend an EAA Air Academy session. Established by Cecilia and Jerry Worth in tribute to her aunt, Leona.Special considerations: first consideration extended to applicants residing in Central or Northeast Wisconsin

Bury Family Scholarship

Provides from 50% to full tuition to attend an EAA Air Academy session. Established by long-time EAA member and board member emeritus Carl. F. Bury, this enduring scholarship is in tribute to beloved family members who have gone west: his wife, Marion, and sons Eric and Carl.

Lew Cahill Memorial Scholarship

Provides a scholarship of $300 to attend an EAA Air Academy session. This scholarship honors the memory of Lew Cahill, a lifetime EAA member. Scholarship provided by his son, Patrick Collins.

Chevron Global Aviation Scholarship

Provides $1000 scholarships for up to eight students to attend EAA's Advanced Air Academy Camp; and up to four students to attend the Air Academy Basic camp (ages 14 – 15) or the Air Academy Young Eagles camp (ages 12 – 13). These scholarships are awarded to those interested in pursuing a career in aviation. Special Considerations: All applicants must be referred by a Chevron or Texaco FBO.

Allen L. Davis Scholarship

Provides from 50% to full tuition to attend an EAA Air Academy session or supports participation in other EAA education programs. Established in tribute to Allen L. Davis, pilot, CFI and General Motors automotive engineer.

EAA Chapter 579 Scholarship

Provides a $1,000 scholarship to EAA's Air Academy. Established by EAA Chapter 579 (Aurora, Ill.), and represents a combination of the Daniel Kelley Young Eagle Scholarship Fund and contributions to the Roger Mahr Aviation Experience.

EAA Chapter 908 Scholarship

This scholarship supports two to four students’ attendance at an EAA Air Academy session. It is generously provided by the members of EAA Chapter 908, Ft. Pierce, Fla.

EAA Young Eagles Next Step Air Academy Scholarships

Four Air Academy scholarships are offered annually to those who have taken a Young Eagles flight and completed both volume one and volume two of the Sporty’s Complete Flight Training Course prior to the year’s deadline for submitting admission applications. Transportation expenses may also be included in the award.Special considerations: must be age 15 or under during the summer of Air Academy enrollment; completed a Young Eagles flight and volumes one and two of the Sporty’s Complete Flight Training Course.

Thomas Ellsberg Scholarship

Provides a minimum of 50% tuition attend an EAA Air Academy session or supports participation in other EAA education programs. The scholarship honors the memory of Tom Ellsberg an aerobatic pilot known for flying "The Oregon Streaker."

Friendship One Fund

Fund annually provides one or more EAA Air Academy scholarships. Founded by three of EAA's most distinguished members and supporters: Joe Clark, Clay Lacy and Bruce McCaw.
