Courage to Grow Scholarship We award one $500 scholarship to one student each month throughout the year. The deadline date is always the last day of each month. Awarded to a member or retired member in good standing of the Association for at least one year or to a spouse, child or grandchild of a member. Relationship to the Fire District must be included in the personal statement. Running Start students may apply. Stella Knobel & Mary Jean Carter Scholarship Awarded to a graduating senior or a nontraditional student from Chelan, Douglas or Okanogan County who is enrolled full-time in an accredited educational program in the USA with a major or minor in music. Applicant must be a passionate and experienced organist or pianist, with organists having priority. Giving limited to north central WA; Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties.
