Virginia Scholarships

Activia Training are pleased to offer a $1,500 annual scholarship for college, university, high school or trade school students in the US. There is no specific course of study required, and you can use the money in whatever way that you feel benefits your studies the most. There will be two scholarship awards of $750 each year, awarded in November and May as follows: - The video winner will receive $500 - The essay format winner will receive $250 Furthermore, all entries adjudged to be of a suitable standard will be eligible for an “expenses award” as follows: - YouTube videos: $20 - Blog articles: $15 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be at least 16 years of age and attending, or have secured a place, at a college, university, high school or trade school in the US. The American Galvanizers Association’s (AGA) Galvanize the Future: An Edgar K Schutz Memorial Scholarship essay contest was developed to assist future specifiers with the rising cost of a college education. The scholarship is available to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in North America studying architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or a related field. Three scholarships are awarded annually ($2,500; $1,500; and $1,000) for the top essays submitted. Any full- or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student of any age enrolled at an accredited college or university only in North America. High school students are not eligible to enter this contest. Qualifying majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or other related field.

Selectspace scholarship At SelectSpace Partitions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree. Who may apply? U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript. Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30. Next Steps: The award recipient will be notified of the selection on or around December 31. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $500 will be made payable to the award recipient’s college or university. The recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.

Giving primarily for scholarships to further the education of students in southern WV and southwestern VA; support also for higher, secondary, and other education, and a municipality. Students required to submit transcript. Application form not required. Limited to residents of southwestern VA and southern WV.

The foundation awards college scholarships to individuals for research and training in the construction industry. Application form not required. Initial approach: Proposal Career in Construction industry. Limited to residents of Virginia.

Our scholarship fund was founded in 2003 and we have awarded 19 winners during this time. We are trusted by universities, career coaches and companies around the world, and have helped hundreds of students find direction in choosing a well-fitting career path. We understand the overwhelming number of career opportunities available to students and how difficult this can be to navigate. CareerFitter has tailored its career assessment tool to examine multiple factors of the person to ensure a range of considerations is made to find an appropriate career. For the 2019 award, we have doubled the value to $1000 to further our support of students and their education. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. A specific major is not required for this award, but the applicant should have above a 2.4 Grade Point Average.

Criteria Applicants must:  Be full-time, matriculated undergraduate students in good standing at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received  Demonstrate significant leadership skill and ability  Hold a significant leadership position on campus  Have made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off-campus; and,  Be enrolled in a college or university within the NACA® South Region. NACA® membership or involvement is not a criterion for selection. Application Process To apply, the following materials must be received in the NACA® Office no later than March 31:  A completed and signed application form  A least two letters of recommendation, which may be attached to the application form or forwarded separately to the NACA® Office. These letters should be from administrators or faculty who are well-acquainted with the applicant as a student leader, and should specify the applicant’s leadership positions, responsibilities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A resume or description of the applicant’s leadership activities, skills and ability, training and accomplishments  A verification from the college/university registrar confirming the applicant’s enrollment status

Scholarship awards will be granted only to applicants from the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia who are entering college as freshmen and will be continued for undergraduate study only. The applicant must rank in the upper 1/3 of the high school class and be in proven need of financial aid in order to attend college. The applicant must be of high moral character and sign a statement that he/she will neither smoke nor use alcoholic beverages while receiving money from the Trust. The scholarship tuition must be used only to defray the cost of tuition and/or room and board of the awardee. Danville Regional Medical Center employees and volunteers and their immediate families (current spouses, children, step-children or grandchildren), who are studying in a medical field. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUIRED: Please include the name of the employee or volunteer, your relationship to this person and whether they are an employee or a volunteer. If you are a volunteer, please indicate the number of hours you volunteered last year. Also, indicate the medical field you are pursuing.
