Some states or counties have hundreds of scholarships for which you may qualify.

ACS/Bayer Scholars Program

To qualify, a candidate must be: - African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or America Indian; - a U.S. citizen or permanent residents of the U.S.; - a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college; - high academic achievers in chemistry or chemical science; - able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Applicants must be a high school senior, college freshman or sophomore enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four-year undergraduate program at a college or university in or near one of the following locations: Addyston, Ohio; Baytown, Texas; Orange, Texas; Berkeley, California; Goose Creek, South Carolina; Fitchburg, Massachusetts; Wilmington, Massachusetts; Kansas City, Missouri; Middletown, Virginia; Morristown, New Jersey; Ridgefield Park, New Jersey; Myerstown, Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, New Martinsville, West Virginia; Shawnee, Kansas; Tarrytown, New York; or West Haven, Connecticut.

ACS/PPG Scholars Plus Program

To qualify, a candidate must be: - African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or America Indian; - a U.S. citizen or permanent residents of the U.S.; - a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college; - high academic achievers in chemistry or chemical science; - able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Applicants must be a high school senior from one of the following locations entering a four-year undergraduate program intending to major in chemistry or chemical engineering: Lake Charles, Louisiana; Natrium or New Martinsville, West Virginia; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Cleveland, Ohio; Shelby and Lexington, North Carolina; Oak Creek, Wisconsin; and Houston, Texas.

The Mark Holtz Memorial Sports Broadcast Journalism Scholarship

The Dallas Mavericks Foundation will award a $2,000 Sports Broadcast Journalism Scholarship in memory of Mark Holtz, the Mavericks first radio broadcaster. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is pursuing a career in Sports Broadcast Journalism (radio or television). To qualify you must: ™ be a high school senior who lives within a 75-mile radius of Dallas. must begin college during summer or fall. ™ See website for deadline of application. Please complete the official Mark Holtz Memorial Sports Broadcast Journalism Scholarship entry form and enclose a copy of your high school transcript through the junior year (SAT or ACT scores must be included in order to be considered), a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at your school, and a typed essay of fewer than 500 words titled “Why I want a career in Sports Broadcast Journalism.” Optional: audio or video broadcast performance tapes be planning on pursuing a career in Sports Broadcast Journalism. This scholarship may be used at any accredited four-year college or two-year community or junior college.

Mavs Scholarship Program

Each season, the Mavs and Century 21 Mike Bowman, Inc. offer high school seniors the opportunity to apply for one of three scholarships. To qualify, high school seniors must attend a high school within 75-miles of American Airlines Center, attend a two- or four-year college or university in the fall of their completed senior year, need financial assistance, be in good academic standing, a legal US resident and complete an essay answering the writing prompt for that season.

Future Mechanic Grant

Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic. This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months. The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree. The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process. The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000. The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay. The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification. This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.

Drone Technology College Scholarship

The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.

Don't mess with Texas Scholarship Contest

The 2016 Don't mess with Texas Scholarship Contest invites Texas high school seniors to apply for one of three scholarships to help with college expenses. One $6,000 grand prize scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in May 2016. Sponsored by Forestar and presented in partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful, the Don't mess with Texas Scholarship recognizes the achievements of high school seniors who have taken a leadership role to prevent litter in their school and/or community and promote awareness of the Don't mess with Texas initiative. Any high school senior currently attending public, private, or home school in Texas and planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited Texas college or university next year may apply. Applications will be judged based on student essays detailing creative and sustainable solutions to litter problems. They can be submitted either online or by mail. Don't mess with Texas is a statewide litter prevention program that encourages Texans to keep their roadways clean. More than half a billion pieces of visible trash accumulate on Texas roadways each year, and Texans ages 16 to 34 are the most likely to litter. In their essay, students have the opportunity to show how their efforts raise awareness of littering and motivate a new generation of Texans to take pride in their state by putting trash where it belongs.

APIASF/United Health Foundation Scholarship

Minimum Eligibility Criteria Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15 Submit one letter of recommendation online. Plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career in the health field. Scholarship recipients must be majoring in a health field to receive renewal scholarships Demonstrate the intent to work in an underserved community Preference for students fluent in an Asian or Pacific Islander language Students must reside in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, KS, MN, NC, NM, NV, NY, TN, TX, WA or WI Preference for students who intend to transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution Enrolling as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year

HSF/Coca-Cola® Greater Houston Retailers Association Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Must be of Hispanic heritage All majors are eligible Must be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale Must have a permanent address in the state of Texas Must be enrolled as a High School Senior in the fall Must plan to enroll full-time during the next academic year in a degree-seeking program at a four-year institution as a freshman or a two-year institution as a 1st year student at an accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. Must be 16 years of age or older as of October 1, 2013. Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

HSF/Coca-Cola® La Michoacana Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Must be of Hispanic heritage All majors are eligible Must be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale Must have a permanent address in the state of Texas or Oklahoma Must be enrolled as a High School Senior in the fall Must plan to enroll full-time during the next academic year in a degree-seeking program at a four-year institution as a freshman or a two-year institution as a 1st year student at an accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. Must be 16 years of age or older as of September 11, 2013. Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

HSF/Darden Foundation Recipe for Success Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) Be a graduating high school senior with plans to enroll full-time as a freshman OR be a community college student transferring to a four-year institution in a degree-seeking program at a four-year accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale ALL majors are eligible, applicants majoring in Hospitality Administration and Culinary Arts are encouraged to apply Have a permanent address or attend an institution in one of the following areas: Atlanta, GA metropolitan area Dallas-Ft Worth, TX metropolitan area Los Angeles, CA metropolitan area Miami, FL metropolitan area Must not be an employee nor have an immediate family member (siblings, mother, father, aunts, uncles, grandparents) be an employee of any of the following Darden Restaurant brands: Olive Garden Red Lobster LongHorn Steakhouse The Capital Grille Bahama Breeze Seasons 52 Eddie V’s Yard House Darden Foundation Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

HSF/GE Hispanic Forum Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must intend to enroll as an undergraduate Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or 5th Year Senior in the next academic year and be pursuing first undergraduate degree Must major in one of the following: Accounting, Aeronautics/Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybernetics/Robotics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Information Technology (IT/MIS), International Business, Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Materials Science/Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Nuclear Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Science, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the geographic locations listed above.
