Henry and Janet Guariello Scholarship Fund The Henry and Janet Guarriello Scholarship is an endowment of the Franklin County Foundation, administered by the Foundation for Enhancing Communities. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who has studied at Cumberland Valley School of Music for four consecutive years.SELECTION CRITERIA:Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:1. Student must have studied at Cumberland Valley School of Music for at least four consecutive years.2. Have been accepted into a college or a conservatory to pursue a degree in music or theater arts.3. Have demonstrated the ability to be successful in their chosen field4. Financial need5. Other factors will include performance history, teacher recommendations, if the candidate studied more than one instrument at CVSM or was a Merit Scholarship Award winner.Gordon B. and Josephine Hewlett Memorial Fund The Gordon B. and Josephine Hewlett Memorial Scholarship assists Franklin County students who wish to pursue college degrees in nursing. The primary purpose of this scholarship is toassist undergraduate students, but in the absence of qualified applicants, the scholarship may go to graduate students. The scholarship was established in 1999 by the children of Gordon B. andJosephine Hewlett as a memorial to their parents.SELECTION CRITERIA:Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:1. Desire to pursue a degree in nursing2. Academic achievement of a 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale3. Extra-curricular activities (sports, organizations, clubs, etc.)4. Service to the community (volunteering)5. Essay 300 words maximum, typewritten, 12 pt. font, double spaced6. Financial need7. Resident of Franklin County
