Larry G. Lauer 4-H Memorial Scholarship The Larry G. Lauer 4-H Memorial Scholarship was established in 2008 by family and friends to honor and memorialize Larry and support the 4-H program. This endowment has been established to provide a scholarship to a Wabash, Kosciusko, Whitley, or Huntington County home, private or public school graduate who has participated in 4-H (for more than one year), who is pursuing higher education as a full time student in any accredited university or college, and who is planning to study a field related to agriculture, such as but not limited to, agriculture, animal science, farm business, agriculture teacher or extension agent. Giving limited to Wabash, Kosciusko, Whitley, or Huntington County, IN.Wabash County Solid Waste Management District Environmental Scholarship The Board of Directors and Staff of the Wabash County Solid Waste Management District established and funded a scholarship endowment in 2001. The mission of the Wabash County Solid Waste Management District is to reduce landfill disposal through integrated solid waste management and related environmental strategies, specifically emphasizing waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. The scholarship is provided to encourage study and advancement of the environmental education studies field. Scholarship Eligibility: Current Wabash County residents of two years or more who seek to pursue on a full-time basis a bachelors degree.
