Robert and Dorothy Hughes Community Fund Scholarship The Robert and Dorothy Hughes Community Fund was created in 2007 by Joan Anne Hughes. Proceeds from the Hughes Fund will help fund college scholarships to earn a baccalaureate degree in Nursing for those with financial need who live or work in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Financial need is based on the pool of applicants.Washburn Scholarship: Need Based Scholarship Established By: Mabel and Eugene Higgins in memory of Mabels parents William S. and Emma Washburn. It is designed to assist Indiana students studying agriculture, home economics or pre-medicine. In 2001, Mabel passed away at the age of 97. She established this scholarship prior to her death as she wished to see some of her wealth be spent while she was alive to enjoy it and to make an impact well into the future. Length of Scholarship: Annual Renewable: Yes / four years Requirements / Selection Criteria Residency: Tippecanoe County, Indiana Diploma: Tippecanoe County high school Enrollment: Any accredited* public or private Indiana college or university *(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.)
