Boone County Agriculture Scholarship for College Students

Citizens of Boone County for students who are interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or a related field. (Some related fields are: horticulture and landscape architecture, food science, entomology, animal sciences, biochemistry, biological engineering, agricultural economics, agronomy, forestry and natural resources, agricultural education and botany to name a few.) Harold & Evelyn Rice Scholarship

It was established by Morris D. and Patricia Ramsey in honor of her parents Harold and Evelyn Rice. The Rices were very involved in the Dover Christian Church as long-time Sunday school teachers. Harold was also an elder of the church and Evelyn was active in the Ladies Aid program. Length of Scholarship: One Year Renewable: No Requirements / Selection Criteria Residency: Dover Christian Church Enrollment: Any accredited* Christian Bible College *(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.) Specialized Study: Preaching Ministry Special Preference: A young man who is an active member of the Dover Christian Church and is enrolled in a Christian Bible College for the purpose of preparing for a preaching ministry. In years when no appropriate student is available, this scholarship will not be granted. Cheryl Ann Cowan Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must be accepted and plan to attend a state-supported university, majoring in Elementary Education and must be in the top 20% of the graduating class. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

David Limp Memorial Baseball Memorial Award

The award will recognize a student who is a senior on the LHS baseball team. This student must have a passion for baseball that he will carry with him through his entire life. The recipient must also have good character and sportsmanship qualities, which is how David Limp was remembered by his peers, family and community. The coach of the LHS Baseball team will select the winner each year. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Denger Family Scholarship

Recipient must plan to attend at least a 4-year or more college or university degree program, full-time. No specific field of study is required. A B average or better is required. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Gibraltar Design Scholarship for Outstanding Student Citizenship and Service

The recipient must be an LHS senior student who has been accepted into a trades, vocational, two year or four year college or university. No specific field of study is required to receive this scholarship. The recipient must be a student citizen in good standing and has participated in volunteer service in the Lebanon community. The scholarship is not limited by financial need. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

James R. Hammel Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must be a graduating senior basketball player. They must be attending a state supported university and must be a very disciplined and committed individual. A male and a female will be awarded. The family of James R. Hammel will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

James Rosenstihl Memorial Basketball Scholarship

The recipient must be an LHS senior student who has been accepted into a public or private, in-state or out-of-state college or university. No specific area of study is required. The scholarship is not limited by financial need. The LHS Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls Basketball coaches will make the selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Jean Green Hardin Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be female and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The recipient must be accepted and plan to attend a four-year college or university majoring in education. The recipient must plan to use her education degree to become a school teacher. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Josh Birge Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must be an LHS senior graduate who will attend a technical or trade school or a 2-year college or university technical program. A minimum of a C average or better is required. Financial need will be a determinate in the final selection process. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

K.C. Kays Memorial Scholarship

Recipient plans to attend either a university or technical school to study aviation. The Lebanon Educational Foundations standard scholarship application must be completed and the applicant must complete a 1,000 word essay on the subject: The Sacrifices Necessary to Keep America Free. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Kiwanis Club of Lebanon Technical Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to an LHS senior graduate who will be attending a technical or trade program or school after graduation. The recipient must exemplify good citizenship and service to the community and/or school. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Kiwanis Club of Lebanon Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to an LHS senior graduate who will be attending a 2-year or 4-year college or university. The recipient must exemplify good citizenship and service to the community and/or school. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

NorthPark Community Credit Union

The recipient must be an LHS senior student who has been accepted into a trade, vocational, two year or four year college or university (public or private, in-state or out-of-state). The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must plan to study Business, Finance or Accounting. The scholarship is not limited to financial need. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation (LEF) will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Obremskey Family Scholarship

Recipient has been accepted and will attend Indiana University (any campus), excels in leadership and extracurricular activities and is in the top 20% of the graduating class. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Giving limited to the residents of Lebanon, IN area.

Richard and Donna Linton Memorial Scholarship

Recipient must plan to attend a 4-year Indiana college or university and must be studying business. A B average or better is required. The recipient must have a strong desire to become a business owner or an entrepreneur in the future. The Scholarship Committee of the Lebanon Educational Foundation will make the final selection. Harold Eugene Wagner Wrestling Scholarship

Established By: The friends and family of Harold Eugene Wagner. The community knew him as Eugene. Length of Scholarship: One Year Renewable: No Requirements / Selection Criteria Residency: Boone County, Indiana Diploma: Zionsville Community High School Enrollment: Any accredited* public or private college or university *(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.) Special Characteristics: 4-year participant in a wrestling program with a minimum of 3 years in the Zionsville Community High School program. Letters in wrestling 2 of 4 years. Special Preference: Plans to wrestle in college. Marjorie Stonehill English, Journalism and Creative Arts Scholarship

Established By: Marjorie Stonehill for students who want to pursue careers in the fields of English, Journalism or the Creative Arts. During her lifetime, she was able to achieve her own college experience through the help of scholarships and wanted to assist other Boone County students in a similar manner. Marjorie had been a long time resident of Zionsville and passed away in January of 2007. Length of Scholarship: One year Renewable: No Requirements / Selection Criteria Residency: Boone County, Indiana Diploma: Western Boone, Zionsville High School, Lebanon High School or Sheridan High School Enrollment: Any accredited* public or private college or university *(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.)
